Tide Froth

Janie sat on her veranda overlooking the sea and sipping a cappuccino. The froth from the steamed milk painted her upper lip to match the sea foam coating the sand. As she licked it off something caught her eye washing in with the tide.
A laundry basket?
It couldn’t be. But stranger things had floated in before. Nothing would surprise her. Last week she found an ironing board and a ladle. She decided to investigate.
As she neared the water…
Oh!
That’s not seafoam.
It’s soap bubbles!
Janie flinched awake.
Time to hang out the laundry.
