100-word Flash Fiction
#FridayFictioneers

This week’s story is inspired by this photograph provided by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields.

“Gus, I think I’ve had enough.”

“What do you mean? Enough of what?”

“Whatever this is.”

“But, we’re having fun. What am I missing? I thought we were good.”

“Maybe too good? I think I’m bored.”

“I had no idea.”

“You’re happy just taking each day as it comes.”

“What do you plan to do?”

“I’m not sure yet. I’m looking at some options.”

“Options? So, you’ve really thought this out.”

“Yes.”

“How will you get there?”

“Bus, probably. I always wanted to see some of the country.”

“OK.”

“I’ll see you at home then?”

“Yes.”

“Love you!”

“Love you too!”

Sometimes, you just need some time alone to breathe, reflect, and regroup, especially if you’re an introvert. And, that’s okay.

    1. Ha ha! That’s funny, because that’s exactly what I was thinking when I started my story this morning. I’ve had those lyrics running through my head all day! Great minds… Thanks for reading!

I love to hear from my readers! Don't be shy.
